The Night Heron Dress is closely inspired by a stunning late 1940s draped dress in black wool crepe that features a bias-cut, asymmetrical shoulder drape, peplum, and dramatic back hip drape.
These bias cut draped pieces are included in the Night Heron Dress E-Pattern, as well as:
-A fitted high-necked bodice and slim, midi-length skirt
-Clear instructions on cutting and sewing the bias-cut draped pieces
-Two sleeve options (standard and full bicep options included): a classic long sleeve with an elbow dart or a dramatic bishop sleeve
-Two bishop sleeve cuff options: contoured for a classic, fitted look and narrow, for a slightly shorter long sleeve
-Optional vintage details including anchored pockets for View A
-Instructions on how to add pockets to a dress with a lapped side zipper using a vintage technique
