Return Policy

All E-Patterns are digital products and are not physical copies. They cannot be substituted, returned, or refunded. E-Patterns are defined as all parts and/or files making up the purchased downloadable file.

In the case of a defect with the downloadable file, please contact Joseon Modern Designs (JMD) at jmd@joseonmoderndesigns.com

For countries with the right of withdrawal, the following contract applies:

14-Day Right of Withdrawal- the European Union, Norway, Iceland, and the United Kingdom

(Please note: In order to comply with GPSR, Joseon Modern Designs is currently unable to sell to customers in the EU and Northern Ireland. I apologize for any inconvenience!)

Upon downloading a purchased Joseon Modern Designs E-Pattern, the consumer consents to immediate performance of the contract. The consumer accepts that the E-Pattern will immediately be made available upon downloading, and the consumer acknowledges that upon downloading the E-Pattern they will lose their right of withdrawal from the contract.

If the E-Pattern is not yet downloaded and the 14-day right of withdrawal timeframe from the date of purchase has not yet expired, the consumer can contact JMD at jmd@joseonmoderndesigns.com for a refund.

If the E-Pattern is not downloaded and the right of withdrawal is not exercised within the 14-day right of withdrawal timeframe, or the E-pattern is downloaded during or after this timeframe, with the exception of a defect with the downloadable file, the E-Pattern cannot be substituted, returned, or refunded.

Pattern Use Policy

As a small business, Joseon Modern Designs (JMD) wants to offer the ability for consumers to sell garments made from JMD E-Patterns in limited commercial amounts as defined below:

Joseon Modern Designs follows a Limited Personal and Commercial Use policy for E-Patterns. The personal use license and limited commercial license are both non-exclusive, non-transferable licenses.

This means that:

-Finished garments can be made from E-patterns with no yearly limit for personal use or gifting.

-A total of 5 finished garments can be produced for sale yearly from the date the individual pattern was purchased or the date the completed pattern was received as a pattern tester. This also applies to the date a free pattern credit is redeemed. (If more need to be made, another pattern can be purchased, or please contact JMD at jmd@joseonmoderndesigns.com for commercial licensing inquiries.)

-Joseon Modern Designs’ images, line drawings, pattern covers, and all other artwork are copyrighted and cannot be used to sell or advertise a finished garment.

-It is the consumer’s responsibility when selling to ensure that they are in compliance with any applicable business and consumer laws. Joseon Modern Designs is not liable for the consumer’s compliance regarding these laws.

Any other commercial use as well as copying, distribution, and resale of Joseon Modern Designs E-Patterns is prohibited. All Joseon Modern Designs E-Patterns and its website are protected by copyright and intellectual property laws.

Modifications to Prices, E-Patterns, the Website, Etsy Store, and Related Information

Joseon Modern Designs reserves the right to make modifications to prices, E-Patterns, JMD’s website, JMD’s Etsy Store, and other related information, and to discontinue an E-Pattern, at any time and without prior notice. Joseon Modern Designs is not liable to the consumer or any other third party for these changes or discontinuation.
