Magpie Pattern Tester Call- Now Closed

Joseon Modern Designs is now looking for testers for the Magpie dress, which is inspired by a vintage dress from the late 1940s/early 1950s. The pattern is available in two size ranges with cup sizes A-H (the size charts are attached below), and also include two bicep options.

The Magpie dress consists of a button-front bodice, a six-gored skirt, two waist views (standard and curved), 3/4 and short sleeve options, lapped side zipper, and optional pockets and turn back sleeves. An illustrated instructional booklet is included!

There are several slots open for testers who meet these criteria:

-Be age 18 or older

-Be able to print patterns in an A4/Letter or A0/Copyshop format

-Be able to make any variation of the pattern and provide feedback within a 14-day period beginning Tuesday (October 15-29, 2024)

-Possess an intermediate level or above sewing skill level and are familiar with their standard pattern adjustments 

-Be able to photograph yourself wearing the Magpie dress and be willing to give Joseon Modern Designs the right to use submitted photos for pattern marketing and promotional purposes.

(Please note: a toile or mock-up out of cheap fabric is completely fine, as well as non-styled pictures. Not all photos may be selected for marketing.)

What Testers Receive:

This is an unpaid test. However, testers will receive:

-A full copy of the finalized E-Pattern (including an illustrated fitting guide) upon completion

-Sewing and construction support in a closed FB tester group

-Individual feedback and assistance
