JMD Mockup Peplum Top Pattern Tester Call
JMD is looking for pattern testers who are interested in a quick and easy mockup peplum top test to help me improve my block fit.
NOTE: I'm currently in the process of updating my pattern blocks. The Magpie and Night Heron Dress patterns have been tested and are currently usable as downloaded- however, they do have a roomier fit. Please refer to the finished measurements to see if you would like to reduce the wearing ease. The fitted pattern files will be updated soon (tentatively by Mid-March) and will be made available to any testers and customers who have purchased or received these patterns prior to the update. (The Pheasant Dress and Sparrow-Lark Skirt pattern releases are scheduled to follow shortly after!)
I'm happy with the overall fit of my dress and (separate) top blocks; however, they are a little oversized and I'd like to make them more fitted at the bust and waist. This involves a simple pattern reduction and truing at those two points based on previous pattern tester feedback and internal testing.
As my original blocks have been tested in the past, I don't foresee any major fit issues; however, I do want to confirm that the fit reduction is comfortable for testers across cup sizes A-G/H.
Two size ranges are available to test: Marian (0-16) and plus-size friendly Guinevere (14-32), both in cup sizes A-G/H.
Pattern testers can also choose from an A4/Letter, A0/Copy Shop, or Projector file.
The Pattern Test Application can be found Here:
The pattern tester application process will close on Monday, Feb. 10 by 9pm PST. (JMD is based in California). Selected pattern testers will be notified by 9pm Tuesday, Feb. 11 and will receive their test files by 9pm Wednesday, Feb. 12 PST.
Mockup samples with unfinished hems are welcome! The first round of testing will end on Sunday, Feb. 23 by 9pm PST (~1.5 weeks and 2 weekends). If needed, the second round of testing will end on Wed., March 5 by 9pm PST.
This is an unpaid test; however, testers will receive a free JMD pattern credit (subject to JMD's Terms of Service) in exchange for completing the first (and if necessary) second rounds of the testing process. They will also receive an updated copy of the peplum top pattern pieces if adjustments were made.
Please let me know if you have any questions!
