How to Wear a Medieval Style Ring Belt + Ring Skirt Hikes
Here’s a quick step-by-step picture tutorial on how to wear a Medieval Style Ring Belt and Ring Skirt Hikes. (Instructions for making both the belt and skirt hikes will be found in the upcoming Sparrow-Lark Skirt E-Pattern!)
How to Tie the Medieval Style Ring Belt
1. If using any skirt hikes, thread the belt through the ring skirt hikes first.
2. Wrap the belt around your waist with the ring in your left hand and the fabric/ribbon belt end in your right.
3. Thread the belt end through the ring and tighten to a comfortable length. Center the ring to your front waist.
4. Take the end of the fabric/ribbon and pull it through the belt at your waist left of the ring (near your left-hand). Do not pull all the way through.
5. Pull the belt tail through the loop created in step 4.
How to Use the Ring Skirt Hike
1. Thread the ring skirt hike (or two) onto the medieval style ring belt. (Other sturdy belts will work as well). Secure the belt around your waist.
2. Pull the hem of the skirt up through both rings.
3. Separate the rings.
4. Pull the skirt hem over the top ring and down through the bottom ring.
